modjūl bags and small leather goods are created using classic construction techniques and ethically-sourced materials from world-famous tanneries in Italy. Each piece is thoughtfully created to last, both in quality and in style. To ensure your piece lasts a lifetime please give it the care it deserves.

Cleaning

Wipe with a soft cloth for everyday cleaning. If leather is dry, use a very small amount of colorless cream on a natural-colored cloth, applied in circular motions. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth. If stained, gently spot clean area with a mildly damp natural-colored cloth. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth.

Care

modjūl items are best kept away from excess water. If your piece becomes wet, immediately wipe it off with a dry natural-colored cloth and let it dry in the shade.

Color transfer is a possibility, especially if your piece becomes damp. To prevent color transfer, avoid strong friction with clothing and contact with water. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause discoloration and should be avoided.

Storage

When not in use, modjūl pieces are best stored in their dust bag in a cool dry place. Keep away from sunlight and excess heat or moisture. Over time your piece may develop mild scratches and color variations due to everyday wear. This is part of the aging process and what makes your piece unique.

As Buttero ages, its smooth finish improves and darkens, bearing visual depth added by wear which is then further polished as it absorbs oil.
